As I walked across the busy intersection of Washington & India Streets with a green light, I had to jump out of the way of an oncoming automobile as it came to a screeching halt! As I swore at the driver, who I'm sure only came to a stop because at the last moment he noticed that the light was red, I saw why he never noticed me crossing the street. He was too involved with his conversation to whomever he was speaking to on his cell phone! As I have no need to own a cell phone I refuse to own one, therefore, I can't take part in a survey that I'm going to take. CELL PHONE OWNERS SURVEY While driving and using your cell phone, how many times have you come close to causing an accident? Have you ever caused an accident while driving and using your cell phone? How many near accidents have you seen or avoided that were caused by a driver using their cell phone? There is a tentative cease fire between Israel and Lebanon. U.N. troops should be taking control over northern Lebanon after Israeli troops complete their withdrawal sometime tomorrow. Hopefully, calmer heads will prevail! What I fail to understand about this is why U.S. President Bush is so quick to claim this as a victory for Israel . Hezballah claims it as a victory over Israel. Why can't these people say it is a victory for peace! I count the days for when Bush's administration finally ends. The damage that he has caused to America's image will last for decades. He has bankrupted America for what? His presidency is an embarassment.
